1. Create a flow with “Exact match”
In this example, we’ll create a custom welcome flow that triggers from your website widget.
In Hoola, go to “Flows”
Then, hit “Create Flow”
A new flow is automatically created with default settings
You can simply keep the settings on “Exact match”
In the “exact message” field, is where you create the trigger message of the flow.
This is the same message we’ll paste in the widget link.
Now, continue building the welcome flow as needed.
Don’t forget to Publish!
2. Creating the WhatsApp widget
Next, we’ll create the widget that triggers the flow.
As it’s on exact match, we just need the user to send the message on WhatsApp.
You can create your own widget using the WhatsApp Widget Generator tool on Hoola’s website.
In there, you put your information:
Welcome message text
Teaser message text
CTA button text
Button Color
💡 In the next step is where you need the exact message from the flow. Copy the “Exact message” from the flow trigger, and paste it in “Your pre-filled welcome message”
This step:
Your WhatsApp business number
Your pre-filled message
Hit “Generate”
Your information is saved in an HTML code, this is what we need to integrate.
Test the link to see if it actually goes to your WhatsApp, and puts the right pre-filled message.
Hit “Copy” to copy the html code.
3. Test the trigger & widget
After integrating the widget, test the link again on the button.
Check Hoola: Guides and Knowledge Base if you need help with this.
When you click the link, it should show your business name, logo and the pre-filled message.
Continue to chat, and there it shows up!
If you have published the flow, send the message, and see if it triggers your newly created welcome flow!
