💡 What do I do if my number is connected to WhatsApp already?
Before continuing with this guide, you must first delete or migrate the old number. Here are the options:
If your number is connected to the WhatsApp Business App:
If you have the number connected to the WhatsApp Business API:
Step-by-step guide
1. Go to the "Integrations" page.
The first thing you need to do is go to the integrations section, and hit the connect button.
Settings → Integrations → WhatsApp
Click on "Connect".
2. Enter your phone number
A drop-down box will appear there:
Enter the phone number you want to use.
Make sure to add the country code
Click the "Connect" button
3. Create your 360 Dialog account
At this point, you will be redirected to a new 360Dialog tab. 360Dialog is the partner we use to connect with Facebook. Now you must create your account. To do this, you must:
Complete the form and create a 360Dialog account to proceed.
They will send you an email with a Verification code that you must enter in the next step:
The following form will appear, and you MUST respond as follows:
No, this number is not connected to WhatsApp Business API
No, this number is not connected to a personal WhatsApp account.
REMINDER: The phone number must not be connected to any other WhatsApp account
. If it is, you must delete that account beforehand so we can configure the Hoola number.
4. Read the requirements and check all the boxes.
The following page will open showing the requirements for having a WhatsApp account. Click on all the boxes and press the "Continue with Facebook" button.
5. Continue with your Facebook profile (or log in)
If you haven't logged into Facebook yet, it will ask you to enter your account.
If you've already logged in, it shows your profile for you to confirm that you want to continue. This profile must be the profile that has Administrator access to your business's Facebook account.
6. Click on “Get Started”
7. Read the permissions and click on "Continue"
8. Select the Business account you want to connect
9. Fill in the business information (if it already appears, continue)
IMPORTANT:
Business Name
The name of your brand as it appears on the website
Business website
Your business's website
Country
The country where your business is registered
10. Create a WhatsApp Business profile
IMPORTANT: In the following form, we must select:
Create a WhatsApp Business account
Create a new WhatsApp Business profile
11. Create the WhatsApp Business profile
Now you can fill in all the information for your WhatsApp Business profile, as your customers will see it.
Important:
WhatsApp Business Account Name = not visible to your customers, internal use
WhatsApp Business Profile Display Name = visible to your customers, as it will appear on your WhatsApp profile (you can change it in the future)
Time zone = your geographical area
Category = the category that best describes your business
Description and URL = are optional and can be changed, they will appear on your WhatsApp profile to give your customers information about who you are
Click on "Next"
12. Add the number you want to connect
Now you have to add the phone number you want to connect so they can send you a verification code. You have 2 options
Text message = they send you an SMS
Phone Call = they call you and tell you the code
13. Enter the verification code and finish
Now you just have to enter the verification code and click next. A page will open where you just have to click on "Finish".
14. Confirm the permissions requested by 360dialog
Manage your WhatsApp accounts (only applies to the one we just created).
Manage and access WhatsApp conversations.
15. 360dialog will verify your information.
16. Congratulations, you have now connected WhatsApp!
After clicking on Finish, you will be directed to this page:
You can now close the tab without any problems.
From this moment on, all messages you receive or send through this WhatsApp number will be managed by Hoola. Wait a few minutes and send a message via WhatsApp to the number you just connected, and you will see the message in the Hoola inbox.
*If your message does not appear in the inbox, write to the Hoola team through their LiveChat, and they will assist you.
