How to Connect WooCommerce with Konvo
Sync your WooCommerce store with Konvo and unlock AI-powered eCommerce automation.
The WooCommerce integration connects your online store directly to Konvo, giving you access to powerful features that go beyond basic messaging. Once connected, Konvo can track revenue and conversions from your campaigns, trigger automated post-purchase flows, and use your customers' order data to personalise their experience — all from a single platform.
What the WooCommerce Integration Unlocks
Connecting WooCommerce to Konvo enables the following capabilities:
Revenue and conversion attribution — see exactly how much revenue your broadcasts and automated flows are generating, tracked directly against your WooCommerce orders
Post-purchase automation — trigger automated WhatsApp flows when an order is paid or when it ships, keeping customers informed at every step
Widget integration — connect your Konvo chat widget seamlessly to your WooCommerce store so customer data flows between both platforms
Customer segmentation — use order history, purchase frequency, and product data to segment your customers and send more targeted, relevant communications

Part 1 — Set Up WooCommerce Before Connecting
There are two things you need to do inside your WooCommerce store before connecting to Konvo. These are quick but important — skipping them can cause the integration to fail.
Step 1: Check your Permalinks structure
Konvo requires your WooCommerce store's Permalink structure to be set to Post name. If it's set to anything else, the API connection will not work correctly.
To check and update this:
In your WordPress admin panel, go to Settings → Permalinks
Under "Common Settings", select Post name
Click Save Changes

💡 Tip: If you're not sure what your current permalink structure is, it's always safe to switch it to Post name — this is the recommended setting for most WooCommerce stores and won't affect your existing content.
Step 2: Download and install the Konvo plugin
The WooCommerce integration works through a plugin that you install manually in WordPress. Here's how:
Download the plugin:
First, download the Konvo plugin file from the following link:
Install the plugin in WordPress:
In your WordPress admin panel, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin
Click Upload Plugin at the top of the page
Click Choose File and select the
.zipfile you just downloadedClick Install Now
Once installed, click Activate Plugin

Once activated, the Konvo plugin is ready inside WooCommerce. Now it's time to complete the connection from the Konvo side.

Step 5: Enter your store URL and connect

This will redirect you to your WooCommerce store to complete the authorisation.

What Gets Synced
Once connected, the following data flows from WooCommerce into Konvo:
Customer profiles — names, email addresses, and phone numbers linked to your WooCommerce customers
Order history — all past and current orders associated with each customer
Order status — paid, shipped, completed, cancelled, and other statuses
Purchase data — products purchased, order values, and purchase frequency
This data is accessible directly from within any conversation in Konvo. Open a contact profile and you'll see their full WooCommerce order history — no need to switch between platforms.
What Your AI Can Do with WooCommerce
Once WooCommerce is connected and your AI Processes are configured, your AI can handle common eCommerce requests automatically:
Checking order status — the AI retrieves live order data and responds instantly
Cancelling an order — the AI processes cancellation requests without human intervention
Updating a shipping address — the AI modifies delivery details on existing orders
Processing refunds — the AI initiates refunds based on your configured policies
Creating new orders — the AI can place orders on behalf of customers when needed
For full setup instructions on each of these actions, refer to the AI Processes guides.
Post-Purchase Flows and Automations
The WooCommerce integration enables event-triggered automation flows through Konvo. You can set up automated WhatsApp messages that fire based on specific WooCommerce events:
Order Paid — send an instant order confirmation to the customer on WhatsApp as soon as payment is received
Order Shipped — notify the customer automatically when their order has been dispatched, including tracking details if available
These flows work in the same way as Shopify post-purchase flows and can be fully customised based on your business needs and customer journey.
Managing Your Integration
Once WooCommerce is connected, go to Settings → Integrations and click Settings on the WooCommerce card. From there you can:
Configure — adjust the integration settings
Refresh Permissions — re-authorise the connection if it stops syncing correctly
Disconnect — remove the integration entirely. Your Konvo data will not be deleted, but order data will stop syncing and the AI will no longer have access to live WooCommerce information
💡 Tip: If your WooCommerce data stops syncing after connection, try Refresh Permissions before disconnecting — this resolves most sync issues without needing to go through the full setup again.
✅ Done! Your WooCommerce store is now connected to Konvo and syncing your customer and order data in real time.
