How to Connect Shopify with Konvo

Bring your eCommerce data into your AI conversations — no manual lookups needed.

The Shopify integration syncs your store data directly into Konvo, giving your AI real-time access to customer profiles, order history, phone numbers, purchase frequency, and more. As soon as a customer reaches out, your AI already has the context it needs to assist them — without you having to look anything up manually.

What the Shopify Integration Unlocks

Connecting Shopify to Konvo enables the following capabilities:

  • Revenue and conversion attribution — see exactly how much revenue your broadcasts and automated flows are generating, tracked directly against your Shopify orders

  • Post-purchase automation — trigger automated WhatsApp flows when an order is paid or when it ships, keeping customers informed at every step

  • Widget integration — connect your Konvo chat widget seamlessly to your Shopify store so customer data flows between both platforms

  • Customer segmentation — use order history, purchase frequency, and product data to segment your customers and send more targeted, relevant communications

What You'll Need

  • Admin access to your Konvo account

  • Admin access to your Shopify store

Connecting Shopify

Step 1: Open the Integrations section

In Konvo, go to Settings (left-hand sidebar) → Integrations. You'll see a grid of all available integrations.

Step 2: Find Shopify and click Connect

Locate the Shopify card and click the Connect button. If Shopify is already connected, you'll see a Settings button instead — see the Managing Your Integration section below.

Step 3: Install the Konvo app in Shopify

Your Shopify account will open automatically in a new browser tab. Follow the prompts to install the Konvo app from the Shopify App Store. Complete the installation process — this authorises the connection between both platforms.

Step 4: Return to Konvo and confirm

Once the installation is complete, go back to your Konvo tab and refresh the page. The Shopify card will now show a green Connected status, along with your store URL as the active connection.

What Gets Synced — and Why It Matters

Once connected, all of your Shopify store data flows into Konvo automatically. This includes:

  • Contact profiles — customer names, email addresses, and phone numbers

  • Order history — past and current orders linked to each contact

  • Purchase frequency — how many times a customer has bought from your store

  • Order details — order status, products purchased, and shipping information

What makes this powerful is how accessible that data becomes. The moment you open a conversation in Konvo, you can navigate directly to the customer's contact profile and see all of their Shopify information right there — no need to switch between platforms or search manually. Everything is already in one place, updated and ready.

This means your team spends less time looking up information and more time actually helping customers.

What Your AI Can Do with Shopify

The Shopify integration doesn't just give your AI access to data — it enables it to take action. Once connected, you can configure your AI to handle common eCommerce requests on its own, including:

  • Checking order status — the AI retrieves live order information and shares it with the customer instantly

  • Cancelling an order — the AI can process cancellation requests directly, without human intervention

  • Updating a shipping address — the AI can modify delivery details on an existing order

  • Processing refunds — the AI can initiate refunds based on your store's policies

  • Creating new orders — the AI can place orders on behalf of a customer when needed

Each of these actions can be fully configured to match your business rules and preferences. For a complete guide on setting up these capabilities, refer to the AI Processes guides, where each action is explained in detail.

Post-Purchase Flows and WhatsApp Automations

One of the most powerful features unlocked by the Shopify integration is the ability to create automated flows triggered directly by Shopify events.

Post-purchase confirmations
When a customer completes a purchase in your Shopify store, Konvo can automatically send them a personalised confirmation message on WhatsApp — no manual follow-up needed. This gives customers instant reassurance and a direct line to your support, right where they already communicate.

Custom WhatsApp flows via Shopify webhooks
Beyond purchase confirmations, you can build fully customised flows triggered by any Shopify webhook — for example, when an order is shipped, when a refund is issued, or when a subscription renews. These flows are flexible and can be tailored to your specific business needs, allowing you to communicate with customers at exactly the right moment with relevant, personalised messages.

💡 Tip: Shopify webhook-based flows can be customised based on your specific setup and customer journey. Reach out to your Konvo contact to explore what's possible for your store.

Managing Your Integration

Once Shopify is connected, clicking Settings on the Shopify card gives you three options:

  • Configure — Modify the integration settings

  • Refresh Permissions — Use this if you've made changes to your Shopify app permissions and need to re-authorise

  • Disconnect — Removes the integration entirely. Your Konvo data will not be deleted, but the AI will no longer have access to live Shopify data

💡 Tip: If your AI stops pulling Shopify data correctly, try Refresh Permissions before disconnecting — it resolves most sync issues without needing to reconnect from scratch.

✅ Done! Your Shopify store is now synced with Konvo and your AI is ready to assist customers with real order and profile data.
