How to Connect Live Chat with Konvo
Add a chat widget to your website and let your AI respond to visitors in real time — no setup beyond a single click.

Connecting Live Chat
Step 1: Connect the integration
Go to Settings → Integrations and click Connect next to Live Chat. That’s all it takes — the connection is instant.

⚠️ Connect the integration before configuring your widget. A common mistake is setting up the widget appearance first and adding it to the website, then wondering why the AI isn’t responding. The integration must be connected first, or conversations won’t reach your AI.
Step 2: Configure the widget
Go to Settings → Widgets to customize how the chat widget looks and behaves on your site. Set colors, position, greeting messages, and any behavior options you want.

Step 3: Add the widget to your website
Copy the widget code from Settings → Widgets and paste it into your website’s HTML before the closing </body> tag.

Step 4: Enable the AI
Go to Deploy (article 2.7) and enable Live Chat. This activates your AI to respond to conversations that come in through the widget.

💡 Tip: Set clear expectations in your widget greeting. If the AI hands off to humans during certain hours, mention that upfront so visitors know what to expect.
What Gets Synced
Every conversation started through the widget appears in your Konvo inbox in real time. Messages from visitors are delivered instantly to the AI. AI responses appear in the widget on the customer’s screen. Escalated conversations are flagged for your team in the inbox.

Managing Your Integration
Reconfigure — Go to Settings → Widgets to update the widget’s appearance or behavior at any time. Changes take effect on your website immediately.
Disconnect — Go to Settings → Integrations → Live Chat → Settings and click Disconnect. This removes the integration and stops the AI from responding to new widget conversations.
