Plans and Billing
Plans and Billing is where you view and manage your Konvo subscription, monitor AI session usage, and access detailed billing information. This section has two main areas: billing information and usage & consumption.
Billing information
Your current plan shows your active subscription package and monthly billing amount. You'll see the package name (your current plan tier), how much you're being billed monthly, and the details of what's included in your package.
To change your plan, click Change Plan. This is where you'd upgrade if your business is growing and you need more AI sessions, if you want access to additional features, or if you're ready to move from a trial or starter plan to a full production plan.

The Manage Billing button opens your detailed billing portal. This is where you handle everything payment-related: viewing your payment history (last payments and all past billings), downloading invoice history, managing payment methods (view current method, add new ones, or update existing cards), checking payment status and next due date, and canceling your subscription if needed.

Usage and consumption
The usage section shows how many AI sessions you've used in the current billing period. You'll see sessions used this period, total sessions included in your plan, and the percentage you've consumed. This helps you understand whether you're on track to stay within your plan limits or if you might need more capacity.

Automatic top-ups prevent service interruption when you hit your session limit. Here's how it works: enable automatic top-ups, select the number of sessions to add when triggered (you choose the amount), and set the trigger point (default is 90% of your included sessions). When you reach that threshold, Konvo automatically adds the sessions you specified and charges you for them.
For example, if your plan includes 1,000 AI sessions and you set automatic top-up to 500 sessions, when you reach 900 sessions (90%), the system automatically adds 500 more sessions and you're charged for the additional capacity. This ensures your AI keeps serving customers without manual intervention on your part.
Use automatic top-ups if your AI handles critical customer support and you can't afford downtime. You don't want customers hitting a wall because you ran out of sessions.

Understanding your charges
Konvo billing includes two separate charges, and it's important to understand the difference.
Konvo subscription is what you pay Konvo for using the platform. This cost varies based on three factors: your base subscription fee (the plan you selected), the number of marketing contacts (contacts who opted in for WhatsApp marketing), and AI sessions usage if you exceed what's included in your plan. This is your Konvo platform fee.
WhatsApp fees are charged by Meta, not Konvo. Meta charges fees for WhatsApp conversations, and while these fees appear on your Konvo invoice, Konvo does not charge them—we act as a pass-through with no markup. The flow works like this: Meta invoices → Konvo → You (direct transfer). We simply transfer Meta's charges directly to you.
Why this matters: you'll see WhatsApp conversation charges on your invoice, but these are Meta's fees, not additional Konvo charges. Konvo doesn't profit from WhatsApp fees. When you review your invoice, you'll see both charges clearly separated: Konvo subscription charges in one section, WhatsApp fees (Meta charges) in another.
Managing payment methods
To update your payment information, click Manage Billing, navigate to Payment Methods, add a new payment method or update your existing one, set your preferred default payment method, and remove old payment methods if you no longer need them. Keep your payment information current to avoid service disruption—a failed payment can interrupt your AI service.
Canceling your subscription
If you need to cancel, please email us at [email protected]m or [email protected]. Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period, so you won't lose access immediately.
Viewing invoices
All past invoices are available through the Manage Billing portal. Click Manage Billing, navigate to Invoice History, and view or download any past invoice. Each invoice shows detailed breakdowns of charges, clearly separating Konvo subscription charges from WhatsApp fees (Meta charges).
Best practices
Set up automatic top-ups if your AI handles critical customer support. The last thing you want is for your AI to stop working because you hit your session limit during a busy weekend.
Monitor your usage regularly—check your AI session consumption weekly, especially if you're close to your plan limit. This helps you spot trends and plan ahead.
Review your invoices to understand your usage patterns and costs. If you're consistently hitting your session limit or triggering automatic top-ups multiple times per month, it's probably time to upgrade to a plan with more included sessions.
Plan ahead for growth. If you're using 80-90% of your sessions consistently, upgrade before you hit the limit rather than relying on top-ups.
Troubleshooting
⚠️ Payment failed: Update your payment method in the Manage Billing portal. If the card is valid but payments are still declining, contact your bank to ensure they're not blocking Konvo charges.
⚠️ Unexpected charges: Review your invoice breakdown carefully. Check if you exceeded included sessions (automatic top-ups may have triggered). Remember that WhatsApp fees are Meta charges, not Konvo adding extra fees.
⚠️ Want to upgrade but the option isn't showing: Contact Konvo support—we can help you upgrade to the right plan for your needs.
⚠️ Auto top-up triggered unexpectedly: Check your AI session usage—you likely hit 90% of your included sessions. Either adjust your automatic top-up settings or upgrade to a plan with more sessions if this happens frequently.
